CPUC REMINDS OF NEW DIALING FOR CUSTOMERS WITH 916 AREA CODE

SAN FRANCISCO, June 9, 2017 – The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) today reminded residential and business customers served by the 916 area code to prepare for the introduction of the new 279 area code overlay. The 279 area code will be added as an “overlay” to the 916 region to ensure a continuing supply of telephone numbers for the area. An “overlay” is the addition of another area code (279) to the same geographic region served by an existing area code (916).

Kirkland, WA. – May 22, 2017 – Wave Broadband (Wave), a gigabit fiber and broadband services company, announced today the next step in its strategic growth plan by combining forces with RCN Telecom Services, LLC (RCN) to form the nation’s sixth largest internet and cable operator, and one of the largest independent operators overall. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2017, and is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

Wave Raises $125 Million to Continue Accelerated Fiber Network Construction and Commercial Broadband Services Expansion

KIRKLAND, WA – September 14, 2016 – Wave (www.wavebroadband.com), a gigabit fiber and broadband services company, announced today that it has raised $125 million to continue the accelerated growth of its West Coast fiber network, bolstering its commercial services division and its Wave G residential Gigabit service. Wave’s financing for the expansion consists of a $125 million add-on to an existing first lien term loan.

Wave Headquarters confirms move to Kirkland Urban

SEATTLE, WA (July 14, 2016) – Broadband provider Wave confirmed Thursday that it is moving into Kirkland Urban, a big commercial development that will replace Kirkland’s Parkplace complex.Wave has been a rumored tenant of the building since early this year when plans for Kirkland’s largest ever commercial development was taking shape.

Wave Launches Residential Gigabit Internet Service In Portland

Wave (www.wavebroadband.com), a gigabit fiber and broadband services company, today announced the launch of its Wave G gigabit service in Portland, part of an accelerated expansion of Wave’s fiber network. Wave G symmetrical (upload as fast as download) gigabit internet service is now live and available at Portland’s Ladd Apartments, a 332-unit residential tower in downtown Portland’s Cultural District
; three Pearl District properties in Block 17 (281 units), Asa Flats and Lofts (212 units) and The Parker (177 units); as well as Ella (199 units) in the city’s Southwest Waterfront area.
